Upper deck

The deck surface is composed of 2.5m x 5.0m paving slabs in reinforced concrete. Slabs are assembled to provide a dedicated drainage system.

The paving surface is finished with a waterproofing membrane and a tarmac wearing course. The upper deck can also be treated with polyurethane resin, an antislip and antiskid surfacing system which produces the best performance in terms of resistance and suits specially to peculiar climate conditions.

The physical and mechanical properties of the deck surface give highway quality traction for traffic at a comparable and negligible level of noise. The floor is also designed to resist the effects of chemical (oils and hydrocarbons) and atmospheric agents.
